PUBLIC LOGICAL ValidateCharacterValue (character)

Purpose: Validates a CHARACTER value
Notes: Returns FALSE when the value is the empty string or ?

Parameters:
pcValue CHARACTER
The CHARACTER value to validate
Returns LOGICAL
TRUE when the validation is passed, otherwise FALSE

Purpose: Validates a DATE value
Notes: Returns FALSE when the value is ? .

Parameters:
pdtValue DATE
The DATE value to validate
Returns LOGICAL
TRUE when the validation is passed, otherwise FALSE
